Unified pension scheme in Maharashtra

Mumbai, 28:- The Union Government has announced its Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). Now that same pension scheme will be implemented, as it is, in Maharashtra state on the lines of the Central government.

Earlier, the Revised National Pension Scheme was in force in Maharashtra. The finance department has informed that approval has been accorded for the additional expenditure due to implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme.

The finance department has been authorized to implement the guiding principles of the Union Government related to the unified pension scheme in Maharashtra.
