Gondia- Balharshah line worth ₹. 4,819 crore approved

Mumbai , Date 11 : A fund of Rs 4,819 crore has been approved for the doubling of the railway line between Gondia to Balharshah in Vidarbha. This project will strengthen the railway network in Vidarbha and help in increasing trade and business with Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for this.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav held a joint press conference today at Geo Convention Center , BKC.

A record amount of funds has been allocated for railway development in Maharashtra, through which 132 railway stations will be redeveloped. This includes Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. A total investment of Rs 1.73 lakh crore is being made by the Central Government for the development of railway infrastructure. Chief Minister Fadnavis also said that Maharashtra has received Rs 23,700 crore from the railway budget this year.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit will soon be launched through the Ministry of Railways. A 10-day tour will be organized in this, which will include important forts and cultural sites related to the life of the Maharaja. This initiative will help in promoting the historical heritage of Maharashtra at the national and international level , the Chief Minister said.
